Teenage Girls Beat Woman After Bus Altercation

SAN FRANCISCO—A woman was stalked and attacked by a group of three teenage girls on Wednesday, April 8.

The attack happened following an altercation on the 21-Hayes bus line. According to the 55-year-old woman, the suspects were incensed after she asked them to quiet down on the bus.

When the woman exited the bus at Ninth and Market Street stop, the teenage girls allegedly followed her off the bus and attacked her in the street. During the attack, a male bystander came into the fold to assist the woman, attempting to pull her assailants away from her.

The teenage group then ran away, using the cover of Civic Center’s BART to camouflage with the crowd and escape law enforcement attention.

Per reports, the woman did not sustain any life threatening injuries and is expected to make a full recovery. No details on the suspects have not been released to the public.
