BEVERLY HILLS—My name is “Penny”, and I’m a little Pomeranian Chihuahua mix.  I was wandering the streets downtown, and it was pretty scary with all the traffic and people.  A very kind person picked me up and brought me to the Friends of Animals Foundation.  I was very dirty and covered with ticks, but don’t I look pretty now?

I’m about two years old and weigh no more than ten pounds, so you won’t be uncomfortable when I cuddle on your lap – which is my favorite past time.  I’m not the least bit aggressive, so I get along with other dogs, with kids, and everyone.  You say that you have a kitty cat?  Well, I don’t remember ever being with one, but I’m such a love bug that I’m sure that we’d be best buddies.

I love going for walks, and love going for rides, and I sit quietly in the car.  However, it would be nice if I could have a car seat that is made especially for little dogs like me, so that I’d be buckled in and safe in case of an emergency.

If you come to see me, you’ll see a tail that wags really fast, and I hope that you’ll melt when I look at you with my big brown eyes.  And, I hope that when I curl up on your lap you just might discover that I’m your lucky “Penny”!

If you would like to see all of the other doggies and kitties that are here with me, you can see them at: friendsofanimalsla.org. We’d all love to meet you!
