HOLLYWOOD—A date for the 2015 Daytime Emmy Awards has been set. In past years the ceremony has aired in June, but in 2015 it will air on Sunday, April 26. The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences made the announcement on October 31.
They also indicated two additional categories for the acting races: Guest Performer in a Daytime Drama Series and Outstanding Performer in a New Approaches Drama Series.
For soaps lovers pre-nomination clips are due by November 28. The official announcement of nominees will be released on March 26, 2015.
It has not yet been announced rather the ceremony will be televised live on TV or via the internet as it was last year. Fingers crossed that the ceremony gets back to the glory days and airs on television. Last year’s fiasco was enough to make viewers never want to watch again.
