HOLLYWOOD—On May 31, actor, director, producer, singer, and composer Clint Eastwood, 96 has officially retired. Eastwood’s son, Kyle, confirmed in an interview with the French media outlet, France Info.
“I have many fond memories of working with him. Now he’s retired, he’s 95 years old. I was very lucky to be able to work with him on quite a few films. It was a great experience for me.”
Clint appeared in more than 60 films in a career over seven decades from 1959-1965, Clint appeared in the television series “Rawhide.” He made his acting debut in some uncredited films, “A Man with No Name” before appearing in “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.”
In 1971, he began directing portraying San Francisco Police Inspector, Harry Callahan, in “Dirty Harry.” After Callahan, fans fell in love with his character, Josie Wales, in “The Outlaw Josie Wales.”
“Any Which Way but Loose” paved the way to the sequel, “Any Which Way You Can.” He appeared in “Escape from Alcatraz” and “Gran Torino” with unique characters.
