SAN FRANCISCO—On Saturday, June 27, the San Francisco Fire Department had to battle a fire inside San Francisco International Airport (SFO).
At 6:40 p.m. the SFFD responded to reports of a fire in a construction area on West Field Road at San Francisco International Airport (SFO). Crews arrived on the scene at 6:43 p.m. and confirmed that the fire involved construction materials. The fire was quickly extinguished at 7:15 p.m. with no injuries reported, and no structures or terminals were affected.
There is no impact on airport operations. The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental.
