SAN FRANCISCO—On the afternoon of Thursday, August 7, 2025 at about 12:30 p.m., police officers from the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) were called to the scene of a shooting in the area of Golden Gate Avenue and Jones Street in the Tenderloin area.

Police officers from SFPD found a man to be suffering from injuries of at least one gunshot wound. Police officers then administered first aid. As soon as paramedics came, he was taken to a local San Francisco hospital to attend to his injuries. As of now, his medical condition is not known.

Police officers from the SFPD are now on a manhunt for the shooter, wanted on charges of attempted murder, who was last seen leaving the scene of the crime for one of the buildings on Jones Street. Although police officers had searched the building, they had discovered no signs of the whereabouts of the shooter.

There have been no reports of any arrests made so far in this investigation. Since the shooter had attempted to murder his victim, the case has been turned over to the SFPD’s Homicide Unit.

This is a developing story.
