SAN FRANCISCO—On Tuesday, September 9, the San Francisco Fire Department was dispatched for a fire blowing out a fourth story window was reported by a passerby on the 500 block of Geary in the Tenderloin neighborhood of SF at 1:19 a.m.

SFFD’s neighborhood fire station #3 arrived and reported a working fire on the fourth floor in the rear and visible from the street. The crews got to the fire quickly and extinguished a fire in an apartment and kept it localized to only the single unit.

There were no reports of any injuries due to the quick work made by all crews involved. The SFFD paramedics evaluated the occupant, and he chose to decline medical attention and was able to stay in his apartment.
