SAN FRANCISCO—Adam Sandler was in production, filming the upcoming Netflix psychological drama, “Time Out,” which is an American adaptation of the 2001 French film, “L’Emploi du temps.” The film, which was directed by Scott Cooper, started its principal photography Tuesday, March 31 and wrapped up location film production Sunday, May 31. The release date for the Netflix movie has not been set.
“Time Out” was filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia area with scenes shot at Hope, British Columbia and North Vancouver before the crew went onto San Francisco to finish its last scenes. Along with Adam Sandler as Vincent, “Time Out” includes F. Murray Abraham, Willem Dafoe, Steve Zahn, Gaby Hoffman, Dustin Hoffman and Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz as the rest of the cast. “Time Out” is about what happens when a man creates a false identity, which causes him to get caught up in illegal investment schemes.
During Sandler’s downtime while in San Francisco, he frequented Original Joe’s four times in four days at different locations. He visited Original Joe’s Westlake in Daly City, the North Beach location and Little Original Joe’s in the Marina neighborhood.
On Sunday, May 31, he attended with his wife, Jackie, a WNBA game where Golden State Valkyries were playing against Las Vegas Aces at the Chase Center. At Everyday SFC, which is at Geary Street near Union Square, he was photographed with the staff. Local fans saw Sandler filming a scene of the movie at Cove at Oyster Point in South San Francisco. At a local gym, he picked up a casual basketball game during this past weekend.
