SAN FRANCISCO—On Saturday, August 31, 2025, at a supportive housing of 120 apartment units for formerly homeless and low-income San Francisco residents called Richardson Apartments located at 365 Fulton Street, there was a physical altercation between two tenants of the opposite genders.

Police officers from the San Francisco Police Department found a female tenant, Nicole MacDonald, who had been suffering from a stab wound to the neck upon arriving at the scene. They gave her first aid until paramedics arrived, who transported her to a local hospital. At the hospital, she received medical attention, and she was released on Saturday.

There had been no arrests made yet in this case. The police officers from the San Francisco Police Department are still on a manhunt for the elusive attacker.

According to MacDonald, the attack was said to have happened to her because she gave her neighbor the evil eye. That was when he stabbed her, missing the jugular vein in the neck.

According to MacDonald, she has always greeted the attacker in the apartment complex, and she never once had any trouble with him before this incident.

The attacker had gotten away by foot after the attack on Gough Street with his pit bull puppy. MacDonald worries about what will happen to her.
