SAN FRANCISCO—At approximately 8:08 a.m. on Friday, September 14, a driver veered off the road and struck a street sign in the Tenderloin District on the 300 block of Ellis Street.

The street sign crashed down onto a pedestrian, a 30 year-old man. The name of the victim has not been disclosed to the public. 

The victim was transported to a local hospital to be treated for serious injuries. The SFPD reported that the victim is still in critical condition.
