Cello Stolen From Teenager’s Car

SAN FRANCISCO—A valuable cello was stolen from the parked car of a 16-year-old musician on April 11.

The cello is a 2014 Emilla Stradella, Number 1115. Estimated to be worth $8,500, the instrument is from San Francisco’s Rolan Feller Violin Makers.

The victim is now asking for the help of San Francisco residents in locating the missing instrument, which has been missing for nearly two weeks. Law enforcement has photographs of the suspects, who broke into Esparza’s vehicle and rummaged through its contents before taking off with the cello.

Surveillance footage shows the woman breaking into the car while a male suspect waited in the wings with a getaway vehicle. Authorities have not made any arrests in the case.
