ORLANDO, FL—The Los Angeles Clippers held off the Orlando Magic, winning 113-108 on Wednesday, December 14.

Austin Rivers led the Clippers with 25 points, including a game-high seven 3-pointers. Rivers, a Florida native, had his high school jersey retired before the game on Tuesday at his alma-mater, Winter Park high school.

“It’s great to have a good game anywhere, but I’d be lying if I said that it’s a little bit more fun to do it here, that’s for sure,” said Rivers, who had approximately 15-20 family members and friends in the crowd on Wednesday.

Blake Griffin scored 23 points and grabbed seven rebounds and three assists; Deandre Jordan had 23 points and a game-high 12 rebounds; Chris Paul added a double-double with 16 points and 10 assists.

Aaron Gordon had 33 points and seven rebounds for the Magic, who have lost four of their last five games. Evan Fournier contributed 24 points and eight assists; Jeff Green added 19 points, two assists and three rebounds off the bench.

The Magic are now 11-16 on the season, and will play the Brooklyn Nets in their next game on Friday, December 16.

Los Angeles has won three consecutive games, improving their record to 19-7, tied with the Houston Rockets for third in the Western Conference. The Clippers will face the Miami Heat in their next game on Friday, December 16.
