SAN FRANCISCO—The San Francisco Police Department has arrested a suspect in connected to the shooting death of Alvaro Palma, 30, of San Francisco. According to a press release from the SFPD, the officers responded to the 4200 block of Mission Street in the Ingleside District on Sunday, May 28 at 12:32 a.m.
Officers found Alvaro Palma suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. San Francisco Fire Department paramedics responded and rendered aid, but the victim died of injuries he sustained at the scene. Based on information and evidence immediately obtained at the scene, officers located and detained a possible suspect on the 4200 block of Mission Street.
San Francisco Police Homicide Investigators were contacted and commenced an investigation. At the conclusion of an interview with the detained individual, it was determined he was responsible for Palma’s murder. The suspect was identified as David Sanchez, 44, of San Francisco. Sanchez was booked at the San Francisco County Jail on felony charges of murder, possession of narcotics for sales, and possession of a controlled substance while armed.
