SAN FRANCISCO—Officers from the San Francisco Police Department have arrested a suspect connected to an assault that occurred in the Tenderloin District in November 2018. The SFPD reported that on November 26, 2018, at 7:19 p.m. officers patrolling the 1000 block of Market Street and Jones Street found an unconscious male on his back.

Officers determined that the individual was the victim of an assault, who rendered aid and summoned an ambulance to the scene. The victim was taken to a local hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries. The name of the victim has not been disclosed to the public.

San Francisco Police Department’s Night Investigations Unit started an investigation that led to the identity of the suspect. On January 2, 2019 at 9:39 p.m., with the assistance of Daly City Police Department, SFPD officers arrested Devonte Talley-McGee, 26, of Daly City. Talley-McGee was booked at San Francisco County Jail for assault with a deadly weapon, battery causing serious injury and an outstanding warrant.
