SAN FRANCISCO—Homicide Inspectors from the San Francisco Police Department are still asking for the public’s help to solve the 2006 murder of Aubrey Abrakasa, who was shot multiple times.

On August 14, 2006 at 3:14 p.m., the 17 year-old student was shot and killed at the intersection of Grove and Baker Streets. His mother, Paulette Brown has been an advocate for her son’s murder and for the families of other murder victims. Brown was at the corner of Grove and Baker Streets on Monday, August 14 to hand out fliers and speak with the media about her son’s murder.

In 2008, previous San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom’s Office offered a $250,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect(s) responsible for Abrakasa’s death.

Anyone with information about this or any other homicide case is asked to contact SFPD Homicide Detail. You may also call our anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or text-a-tip to TIP411, beginning the text with SFPD.
