HOLLYWOOD—Hollywood celebrities always often make the news for tying the knot, others make the news for break-ups. When I saw Richard Gere a few months ago, he seemed a bit preoccupied about his separation and child custody case which the latter has been resolved. After dating Padma Lakshmi, 44, the 65-year-old star, called it quits.

The couple reportedly started dating back in 2014 after Gere split from Carey Lowell, to whom he was married over a decade. Gere and Lowell had one son, Homer, while Lakshmi has a daughter, Krishna, with ex Adam Dell. Lakshmi was also married to best-selling author Salman Rushdie for three years from 2004-2007.

Another famous break-up was Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo. The musical couple had been together since January 2012. According to various interviews, the split was mutual.

It’s over for Nick Jonas and Olivia Culpo, his girlfriend of nearly two years. The pop star and former Miss USA and Miss Universe winner have broken up, according to reports.

Bobby Flay’s wife, Stephanie March, isn’t going down without a fight. Reports began surfacing back in April that Flay and March split after a decade of marriage.

I remember back in 2012 when I saw Hilary Duff, she was expecting her son. She was a few months pregnant and was out promoting her book “Devoted: An Elixir Novel.” Just six months ago, Hilary filed for divorce from husband and ex-hockey star, Mike Comrie. Now, Comrie has responded by demanding joint custody of her son.

Following their latest makeup and breakup in just a few hours, Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran a few days ago took to an epic Instagram feud.

Justin Bieber has been enjoying the single life after his latest breakup with Selena Gomez. While Bieber, the pop superstar, is prone to romance rumors, he has been spotted with Hailey Baldwin in Miami. The 21-year-old “Baby,” singer took to Instagram to post a couple snaps with Baldwin, but it was the photos from the paps that got fans all over the world wondering if the two were a possible item.

Another Hollywood couple bites the dust. The latest is Sean Penn, 54, and fiancee, Charlize Theron, 39. They have allegedly ended their engagement after a year and a half of dating, according to reports. The couple allegedly decided their relationship was over, after their recent appearance at the Cannes Film Festival in the south of France, Us Weekly claims.

They began dating back in December 2013, had been friends for decades before their relationship turned romantic. In December 2014, they reportedly got engaged during a trip to Paris. There was never a ring, but they were “committed,” the magazine claims. Penn even recently filed to adopt Charlize’s son. Just a few months ago, Sean said that he was ready to become Charlize’s husband, following his previous failed marriages. For some reasons, those feelings must have changed because according to Us Weekly, Charlize ended the relationship. Just last month, Theron told Elle UK that Penn was “The love of her life.” Something must have triggered the break-up.

Rose’s Scoop: Brazilian music would never have developed as it did if it hadn’t been for Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil. Now aged 72, they are getting together to tour Europe to celebrate 50 years of their careers. The tour “Two Friends, One Century of Music,” is their first tour together since 1994, and will debut in Amsterdam on June 25.
