He was arraigned on April 29 and pleaded not guilty to all charges and denied all allegations. He is charged with one count of possession for sale of a controlled substance (H&S 11351), one count of transportation, sale and giving away of a controlled substance (H&S 11352), one count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with a firearm (H&S 11370.1(a)), one count of carrying a loaded firearm that he was not the registered owner of (PC 29850(a)) and one count of carrying a concealed firearm (PC 25400(a)(2)).

According to court documents, on April 24, at 11:20 p.m. Martinez-Torres allegedly sold 1.6 grams of fentanyl for $20 to an undercover officer at the corner of Sixth Street and Stevenson Street. Officers arrested the defendant and found in his possession a loaded 9mm ghost gun semi-automatic pistol and 68.3 grams of fentanyl.
