SAN FRANCISCO—Authorities from the San Francisco Police Department arrested Juan Lopez-Palacios, 27, of Hayward in connection to the shooting death of Oswaldo Fuentes, 21, of Fairfield on March 11. According to a press release from the SFPD, the shooting transpired on March 11, where at approximately 1:35 a.m. officers responded to the 500 block of Green Street in the Central District about a shooting.

Officers found Fuentes suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics from the San Francisco Fire Department arrived on the scene to provide aid, but the victim died of injuries sustained at San Francisco General Hospital.

San Francisco Police Homicide Investigators conducted an investigation that led to the identities of several suspects. On Tuesday, May 9, SFPD Narcotics Investigators spotted and arrested Lopez-Palacios on the 22000 block of South Garden Avenue in Hayward. Authorities also arrested Dean Mareta, 26, of San Francisco, on the unit block of Shotwell and Vidal Sandoval, 39, of Oakland.

SFPD Homicide investigators were notified and after the completion of interviews, all three suspects were charged for murder, conspiracy, and subsequently booked into San Francisco County Jail.

Due to pending identification matters, the subjects’ booking photos will not be released at this time. The case is still under investigation.
