HOLLYWOOD—The second season of “Love Thy Neighbor” has been revolving around Linda and her complicated love triangle between Phillip and Will. With the revelation that Will conned her, Linda finally saw the light and kicked him to the curb. That led our naïve one, to want to go on a wild spree that leads to Linda having a one-night stand with Philip. That incident prompted our heroine to push Philip further away, to the point that he has moved on with another lady.
So what is Linda to do? Jealously is fueling in her eyes and she soon discovers the best thing she had may be gone for good, but is he?
When Linda comes done with a bit of an illness, her entire family is concerned including her mother Hattie Mae, Danny and the rest of the gang. She later reveals that she is pregnant. Yep, Danny is going to be a big brother and Hattie is about to be a grandma all over again. The episode opened with Hattie Mae cracking a few jokes concerned that her daughter’s illness might be contagious. Hattie continued to speak her own language about the possibility of her restaurant plaguing an illness with her customers.
Back at the diner, Drew, Danny, Floyd and Sam got a load of laughs from Hattie who took shots by mimicking Drew and poking fun at Floyd for purchasing bad meat. She later informed the gang that Linda was super sick, which prompted Danny to go into protective mode about his mother’s wellbeing. Thankfully, his grandmother put him in his place. The 2014 meat scandal prompted Hattie to go after her patron’s plates to ensure the food was properly cooked.
The time of the hour came when Linda arrived back at the diner and informed everyone that she is preggers, but no one picked it up right away. When she dropped the bomb, in glorious fashion both Danny and Hattie took an epic fall. Drew, Sam and Floyd took Linda’s news as an epic fail, as Danny and Hattie attempted to make sense of things. Linda didn’t seem too impressed with having a bun in the oven. Hattie was locked in catatonic state about Linda’s news. Floyd continued to push Hattie’s buttons, as Danny learned that his mother had sex, prompting another collapse to the floor. The gang suspected that Will might be the father, but when she informed them it was Phillip not Will who is the father, which shocked everyone! Linda made it clear that no one, absolutely no one tell the news about her pregnancy to Phillip.
The episode ended with Linda coming face-to-face with Philip and his new lady love, Sarah. It became apparent everyone was upset with Philip and his intentions to date other women. I was almost certain Linda would spill the news, but it looks like fans will have to wait till season three before we discover how this complicated relationship will turn out.
