SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO—On Tuesday, August 4, a man and his dog died in an automobile crash, after his pickup truck crashed on a connector ramp located between Highway 101 and Interstate Highway 380 in South San Francisco, the California Highway Patrol. The crash was reported shortly before 9:30 a.m., CBSN Bay Area reported. The truck veered off the roadway and struck several trees on the right shoulder, which caused the vehicle to overturn.

According to a statement from the CHP, the driver is a man believed to be in his 30s or 40s, and the dog has been identified as a Pitbull. The vehicle was registered to an address in Burlingame. 

Authorities are still investigating the incident, and the cause of the accident or the identity of the man have not been revealed yet.
