CHICAGO, IL—The Chicago Police Department (CPD) is asking for the public’s help in identifying a gunman involved in a July 4 shooting that involved 8 victims, one of which was a 14-year-old boy. The video below shows the man they are searching for, who was wearing a yellow hoodie and yellow pants during the time of the crime.

 

On July 4, Vernado Jones, 14, was one of eight people shot at a Fourth of July party in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood. According to the CPD, four people were fatally shot and four others were severely wounded. The Chicago Police Department has been working with the FBI to investigate and solve the crime, and offered a reward of $25,000 for any information that leads to the identification or arrest of the gunman.

Authorities have video of one suspect, but believe there may be as many as four people who were involved. All suspects fled the scene and no arrests have been made.
