SAN FRANCISCO—On Saturday, August 17, a man was arrested with a hand grenade by police officers.

According to police reports, they received a call at approximately 9:55 a.m. about a man that was armed with a grenade on the 2200 block of Mission Street. The area between the 18th and 19th blocks were shut down by officials.

A bomb squad was called in to search the suspect. After apprehending the suspect, they found the grenade to be inactive. The name of the man has not yet been released to the public.
