SAN FRANCISCO—On Sunday, September 30, a crash occurred on 101 freeway in San Francisco killing a motorcyclist.  The deceased motorcyclist has been identified as 19 year-old , Caleb Pool, of Oakland, the San Francisco Medical Examiner reported to The Mercury News.

At about 9:40 p.m., Poole was riding the motorcycle on the connector of southbound highway 101 and eastbound I-80.  He crashed and was ejected from the bike upon impact.  He was rushed to San Francisco General Hospital where he later died from injuries he sustained , California Highway Patrol Officer Damian Cistaro reported.

A portion of westbound I-80 , which connects to the 101 was closed immediately after the accident occurred. Officials are still investigating what caused the crash.
