Target

SAN FRANCISCO—Target is looking to hire over 400 new employees for their new store opening in San Francisco. The new store is located on the 2600 block of Geary near Masonic.

The company indicated it is only looking to hire part-time workers who are over the age of 16 and retail experience is not required.

Although Target did not publicly announce or discuss benefits or wages for its workers, it did say they are hiring for a variety of positions from cashiers to sales representatives to hourly management positions.

The store will open in October. Applications will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 17. Nearly 3,000 people are expected to apply for the 450 positions.

The new Target store will be a City Target which will include a pharmacy and groceries, but will be smaller than a regular target.
