SAN FRANCISCO—On Thursday, December 18, at 1:56 p.m., a United States Postal Service (USPS) postal truck back into the Ralph Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, a martial arts school located in the Outer Sunset District at 2505 Noriega Street, hitting the front of the building.
This is where the front of the gym was located causing many pieces of glass panes to break into smithereens. It also damaged the corner of the building.
In the late afternoon, the Heavy Rescue Unit cleared the broken glass off of the sidewalk, installing a temporary support post in order to stabilize the foundation of the structure of the building.

The Department of Building Inspection was called to evaluate the overall structural integrity of the building. At 3:10 p.m., the building was officially returned back to its owner after a preliminary assessment by the Heavy Rescue Unit of the San Francisco Fire Department (SFFD).
No charges have been filed, according to initial reports. Emergency responders included firefighters, paramedics. After assessing the driver of the USPS, they were given a clean bill of health.
