SAN FRANCISCO—San Pablo Police Officer Kenneth White was arrested on April 8, for his alleged involvement in a drug deal that took place while a toddler sat in his car.

San Pablo
White allegedly took part in a drug deal while a toddler sat in the back seat of his vehicle.

In the days leading up to his arrest, San Pablo authorities warned the San Francisco Police Department that White may have been involved in criminal activities. Officers were tailing White at approximately 2:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon when they witnessed him take part in an alleged drug deal with a suspect identified as 57-year-old Timothy French.

During the exchange between White and French, a two-year-old child sat in the back seat of White’s vehicle.

It is now believed that White was part of a cocaine and heroin smuggling operation. He is currently being held on charges of narcotics violations, weapons violations, and child endangerment.

White had previously been placed on paid leave during a separate conduct investigation by San Pablo police. At this time, details regarding White’s paid leave has not been made public.

Authorities have maintained that the two investigations into White’s activities remain separate.
