HOLLYWOOD—Who could have ever imagined that the hit cable network would be having another scandal. I’m referring to Bravo, who literally HAD the entire world talking with Scandoval, which involved cast members of the reality series “Vanderpump Rules” in a scandal that was just everything to talk about. It involved Tom Sandoval, Arianna Madix and Raquel Leviss. Tom was cheating on Arianna, his partner of nearly a decade with her BFF Raquel. It was devastating for fans.
So, cue 2026, and we have another scandal, maybe not as gargantuan as ‘Scandoval,’ but one involving another reality series on Bravo, “Summer House.” This one involves four castmates, Kyle Cooke, Amanda Batula, Ciara Miller and West Wilson. Kyle and Amanda were dealing with serious issues in their marriage, so much to the point that they announced a separation in January. So where does West and Ciara come in? Those two used to date, and had a bad break up 2 years ago, and have been trying to repair their friendship.
It gets complicated because Amanda and Ciara are like besties, at least the series did a damn fine job convincing the audience of that because they stuck like glue in the Hamptons vacation home on the series. Amanda, Ciara and Paige DeSorbo (no longer on the series), were coined as the bed bugs because they would literally sit in bed all day and gossip, but with Paige leaving in season 9, Amanda and Ciara became even closer, or at least the audience thought.
Why? Rumors started to run rampant in late February early March 2026 about West and Amanda hooking up. Was it true? Well according to Amanda and West it was not, they even denounced it in several interviews. Imagine discovering on March 31, 2026, that both released a joint statement confirming the rumors were true. Shockwaves through the Bravo universe people because this is messy.
Amanda, if Ciara is your so-called bestie, why would you do this? Not to mention, West, Kyle is your buddy and still married. You’re telling me out of all the women you can hook up with, you choose Amanda, Kyle ex-wife. This is just beyond crazy for me to the point that I cannot put this into words in any fashion that makes literal sense. It is brutal because it has fractured the entire “Summer House” cast and not in a good way. This transpired with “Vanderpump Rules” and looked what happened there. That show with the original cast ended, and a reboot of sorts was unleashed, but it’s not the same.
The fallout from this cheating scandal involving West and Amanda is crazy. The 3-part “Summer House” reunion was so anticipated, I will admit the first part was fantastic, we really only needed 2 parts, not 3, but Bravo just loves to drag things out for the sake of TV, when they don’t have to do it. West and Amanda had plenty of questions to answer and thank God for Lindsay Hubbard, Mia Calabrese, Carl Radke, Kyle and Ciara holding West and Amanda to the fire.
They were asking the questions that host Andy Cohen was not. I’m sorry, but its time for Andy to hang up his hat on hosting reunions. He plays favorites and fails to seriously answer the questions and hold some people to the fire for their antics. He plays favorites, and of course he’s going to deny, but go watch some of the reunions he’s hosted and you will easily see it.
With that say, I have to give the MVP award to Lindsay Hubbard. Man, she read West Wilson for filth and pointed that dagger right on him with his antics. It was so point on and obvious that West is there for the camera and fame. Even his former co-star Paige called him out in a previous reunion about him focused on the scandal of two of their housemate’s engagement ending and lives being upended in the process. Ciara held no punches because when she pinpointed Amanda’s personality it stung so much to the core, even Kyle shed a tear.
That was just the beginning because Amanda poured on the waterworks to try to make every feel sorry for her and it worked on almost everyone, except Ciara and Mia. Lindsay, Kyle, Mia, Ciara had to FORCE West to go after Amanda to check on her. It was a very sad excuse for a so-called boyfriend. The word salad between these two annoyed me the entire past 3 weeks.
The castmates wanted answers, the viewers wanted answers, the world wanted answers, and as Lindsay noted we got nothing. Oh, I know that irritated Andy Cohen because it was true, and it made it look like he didn’t do his job thoroughly. We get this extended fourth part that was a complete waste of time. It was basically Kyle and Lindsay almost giving both West and Amanda and out to explain themselves more.
I had major issues with the sit down because the narrative that Amanda was manipulated is BS. Amanda knew exactly what she was doing with Wes and trying to play this victim role, I’m over it. Same with Wes, if you cared about Kyle as a friend, you would have never slept with his wife. The extended episode didn’t divulge much more than what we already didn’t know. Amanda likes to lie and never take accountability, and Wes is a liar and a F-boy.
There was some interesting news this week, as it was revealed that West Wilson will NOT be returning for “Summer House” season 11 which is slated to go into production early July. The question remains rather Amanda is coming back to “Summer House” truth be told I don’t see it because Ciara is not going to deal with her, neither is Mia, and that awkward tension in the house, I just can’t see Amanda dealing with it. She has “In the City” anyway so we shall see what unfolds.
