SAN FRANCISCO—A 19-year-old man is in jail after he allegedly stabbed his guardian on Tuesday, April 18, in San Francisco. The teen and his guardian had gotten into a verbal disagreement just before the attack.

According to the SF Examiner, the stabbing occurred around 4 p.m. in the 1600 block of Grove Street in the city’s North of Panhandle neighborhood. The victim, a 30-year-old man, contacted authorities once the suspect started attacking him. The teen allegedly stabbed his guardian, leaving him unconscious.

Police took the teen into custody, and the victim was transported to a local hospital to be treated for injuries sustained. The names of the victim and the suspect have not yet been disclosed to the public. A motive for the attack has not yet been revealed by authorities.
