SAN FRANCISCO—Three men were hospitalized after a shooting in a nightclub in San Francisco’s South of Market area on Saturday, March 23. Authorities reported the first round of gunfire started after two men began arguing inside the nightclub 330 Ritch at around 1:15 a.m.
The shooting continued outside the club and in a public parking lot on Ritch and Brannan streets. Police are unclear whether the three victims were intended targets or merely bystanders.
One of the men, reportedly in his 30s, was shot in the torso and is currently in critical but stable condition. The other two victims, both in their 20s, suffered from non-life threatening injuries.
The suspects fled the scene of the crime before officers arrived and have not been located. Police have been looking over surveillance footage from the club in order to see whether the cameras managed to capture anything from the incident.
No suspects have been placed in custody and no descriptions are available as of press time. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call the San Francisco Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444.
