SUNNYVALE—Police have found 16-month-old Trinnian Gonzalez, a toddler who was allegedly abducted by his mother Christina Rodriguez.
Gonzalez was located by authorities in Newark late Saturday evening, only several miles away from the home he was abducted from, located on the 800 block of San Aleso Avenue in Sunnyvale.
Rodriguez, who had reportedly become estranged from the boy’s child and family, allegedly abducted Gonzalez from his grandmother’s home, sparking a police search that eventually led to her discovery on Saturday, June 13.
Per the boy’s paternal side of the family, Gonzalez has an array of health problems that require steady amounts of medication, which was a concern for relatives after his disappearance.
Law enforcement officials have stated that Gonzalez appeared to be in good health following his discovery and reunion with his legal guardians.
Rodriguez has been arrested and will likely face kidnapping charges.
