Sgt Pepper

BEVERLY HILLS—My name is “Sgt. Pepper”, and I’m a four-year-old little boy. I’ve been here for over a year, waiting patiently for someone to say that they want me to be in their life. I’m very affectionate, have a laid back personality, and have no bad habits that I can think of.

Do I sound perfect? Well, as you know, no one is perfect – so, I have something to tell you. I have FIV. You ask what that is? Well, it means Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. In other words, I have a somewhat compromised immune system.

It’s a cat-only disease, so you don’t have to worry about “catching” it, and neither does any non-cat pet in your family. Another cat could be infected if I’d bite or scratch it and my saliva would get into the wound. So, just to play it safe, I should be the only cat in the household, unless you have another one that has FIV, too. And, it goes without saying, that I should stay inside.

In spite of my so-called problem, I can live a very happy and very long life. So, I hope that there’s someone out there that will want to share their home and life with me. If I don’t happen to be the right one for you, I hope that you’ll check the website, which is: foala.org. There you will see all of the other cats and dogs that are here waiting for that special someone. Won’t you please call to see us?
