SAN FRANCISCO—A dog fell from the Fort Funston Cliff on Tuesday, February 26. Officials from the San Francisco Fire Department assisted in rescuing the animal that fell 15 feet. The animal was rescued by the SFPD at the bottom of the cliff and did not sustain any serious injuries during the incident, ABC 7 San Francisco reported.

Firefighters gave the dog back to the owner and the two were reunited. The dog’s owner informed firefighters that the dog just ran away.

The SFFD tweeted, “We have located the dog and are working on options to rescue it. The dog does not appear to be injured and the human companion is cooperating with the incident.”
