LOS ANGELES—The 2015 Creative Arts Emmys took place on September 12 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Everyone from choreographers, production designers, and hairstylists working in television were honored with the golden statuettes.
The big winner of the night was Game of Thrones (HBO), which swept all eight awards it was up for including Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series and Outstanding Make-up for a Single-Camera Series.
Other big winners were American Horror Story: Freak Show with five wins, Downton Abbey (PBS), Transparent (Amazon), and the television movie Bessie (HBO) starring Queen Latifah, which received multiple awards each throughout the night.
In the acting categories, Reg. E Cathey and Margo Martindale took home the Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series and Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series, respectively, while, Bradley Whitford and Joan Cusack won for the comedy category.
The telecast for the 42nd Creative Arts Emmys will be aired on Saturday Sept. 19, one day before the telecast of the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards. Actor and comedian Andy Samberg will take on hosting duties for that ceremony.
