SAN FRANCISCO—Closed-down Chinese restaurant Xian Bistro at 2543 Noriega, located at 32nd Avenue and Noriega Street, is the supposed site of sex crime investigation related to an illegal underground club. On Monday, in the usually quiet neighborhood, at around three o’clock in the morning, a search warrant was served at Xian Bistro in the Outer Sunset, which is a commercial area mixed with residential area.
A standoff then ensued between the police officers from SFPD and the occupants, which lasted at least an hour, causing the entire block to be shut down.
The ensuing raid discovered many firearms and suspected drug paraphernalia that was taken in as evidence. After the dust had settled, by passers could see broken glass on the sidewalk in front of Xian Bistro.

Illegal nightclubs lack safeguards. Without permits or regulations from police or fire department, they pose dangerous hazards for patrons, and they lack accountability for business owners.
