HOLLYWOOD—There are some afternoons that remind you why live entertainment is so special, and my recent visit to Carnegie Hall was certainly one of them. What began as an afternoon celebrating today’s remarkable vocal talent ended with a star-studded tribute to one of Broadway’s most beloved legends, making it a day I won’t soon forget.
My visit began with an inspiring showcase hosted by acclaimed vocalist and vocal coach Jeremiah Abiah, widely known throughout the music industry as “The Vocal Architect” on June 25, 2026. Over the years, Abiah has worked with an impressive roster of artists, including Mariah Carey, Brandy, and many others, helping performers strengthen their voices while developing their own unique style.
For nearly two hours, Carnegie Hall came alive with an outstanding lineup of singers who demonstrated not only exceptional vocal ability but also genuine passion for their craft. Each performer brought something different to the stage, from soulful ballads to Broadway-inspired numbers and contemporary favorites. It wasn’t a competition—it was a celebration of music and the joy of performing.
Abiah proved to be both an outstanding host and an extraordinary performer in his own right. His warmth, encouragement, and respect for every artist on stage created an atmosphere that felt welcoming and inspiring. The audience responded enthusiastically throughout the afternoon, offering generous applause after each performance. It was evident that everyone in attendance appreciated not only the incredible voices but also the sense of community that filled the historic hall.
Following the vocal showcase, the excitement inside Carnegie Hall shifted as audiences gathered for one of the season’s most anticipated events— “Liza at 80,” a spectacular celebration honoring the legendary Liza Minnelli and her extraordinary contributions to music, film, television, and Broadway.

Together, they transformed the evening into a heartfelt celebration of one of entertainment’s true icons.
Rather than attempting to imitate Minnelli, each performer brought his or her own personality and interpretation to the music and stories that have become part of her extraordinary career. The result was an evening filled with laughter, touching memories, standing ovations, and unforgettable performances that reflected the tremendous respect and affection the entertainment community has for Minnelli.
One of the things I appreciated most was that the celebration focused not only on Liza’s incredible talent but also on the impact she has had on generations of performers.

As I left Carnegie Hall, I realized I had experienced two completely different but equally memorable events under one historic roof. The afternoon introduced audiences to exceptional vocal talent through Jeremiah Abiah and his remarkable performers.
