CHICAGO, IL—On Tuesday, August 4, Chicago-based rapper FBG Duck was shot and killed in the Gold Coast neighborhood in Chicago. Two other people were injured during the shooting.

Carlton Weekly, also known as FBG Duck, 26, was a local rapper and a member of Fly Boy Gang rap crew. The shooting occurred while the victims were shopping on Oak Street between Michigan Avenue and Rush Street. The Oak Street District is known as “Chicago’s Luxury Destination.”

The Chicago Police Department indicated that four people with guns exited two vehicles and began firing and shooting people on the sidewalk outside a retail store. They then jumped back into their vehicles and fled the scene.

Weekly was transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. According to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office, he was shot in his chest, neck, and groin.

The other victims were a 36-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman. Their identities have not been disclosed to the public. The victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

A video by CBS Chicago shows a woman was shot on her left arm. Witness Howard Gordon described, a black car driving very fast west Oak Street. Authorities have identified the vehicles as a black Ford Taurus and a silver Chrysler 300M.
