SAN FRANCISCO—Two men were injured in a shooting outside of a nightclub on Christmas morning in San Francisco’s China Basin neighborhood, officials from the San Francisco Police Department indicated.

Authorities responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 2:38 a.m. near the 500 block of Fourth Street, outside of the Grand nightclub in San Francisco. According to San Francisco Police Department Spokesperson, Sgt. Michael Andraychak, responding officers found two victims, a 25-year-old male and 32-year-old male, on the sidewalk suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police have not identified suspects in the case, which is still under investigation. According to police, an additional fight broke out between three people as they attempted to assist the victims. The 24-year old victim tried to break up the fight before he was punched and fell to the ground, police said. A second suspect then seen kicking the victim in the head.

The 24-year-old victim sustained injuries to his head during the altercation and was transported to a nearby hospital where he was treated for his injuries. Police identified one of the suspects as a 24-year old man, who was arrested at the scene. A second suspect fled the scene of the crime. The names of the suspect involved in the fight have not bee identified.
