SAN FRANCISCO—On September 5, officers from the San Francisco Police Department arrested Osvaldo Lugo, 59, of Lathrup, CA for using City and County of San Francisco gasoline in his personal vehicle for more than a year.
According to a press release from the SFPD website, in June 2014, the SFPD initiated an investigation into Lugo, who is a Municipal Transportation Authority employee, after a complaint was issued. The loss of income to the City was thousands of dollars in gasoline.
The suspect was arrested for grand theft and embezzlement and booked at the San Francisco County Jail.
