SAN FRANCISCO—Starting July 1, a trip on the San Francisco Bay Ferry will cost you anywhere from 5 to 40 cents more, according to an announcement from the Water Emergency Transportation Authority (WETA).
The price increases are part of the Five-Year Fare Program, which according to WETA is, “designed to establish consistent fare categories, streamline the types of tickets sold, and promote a consistent level of discount pricing across all S.F. Bay Ferry Services.”
The fare hikes on July 1 will be the first of new annual fare increases put into place to “offset inflationary cost increase, and rising operational and fuel costs,” WETA officials said.
The July 1 fare changes are below:
Alameda/Oakland to SF –
Cash Fares (Adult) rises from $6.25 to $6.40
Clipper Fares (Adult) rises from $4.75 to $4.80
Youth (5-18) rises from $3.10 to $3.20
Senior (65), Disabled rise from $3.10 to $3.20
Harbor Bay to SF –
Cash Fares (Adult) rises from $6.50 to $6.70
Clipper fare (Adult) will not change at $5.00
Youth (5-18) rises from $3.25 to $3.30
Senior (65), Disabled rise from $3.25 to $3.30
Vallejo to SF –
Cash Fares (Adult) rises from $13.00 to $13.40
Clipper fare (Adult) rises from $9.75 to $10.10
Youth (5-18) rises from $6.50 to $6.70
Senior (65), Disabled rise from $6.50 to $6.70
South SF/East Bay —
Cash Fares (Adult) rises from $7.00 to $7.40
Clipper fare (Adult) rises from $7.00 to $7.20
Youth (5-18) rises from $3.50 to $3.70
Senior (65), Disabled rise from $3.50 to $3.70
