SAN FRANCISCO—On Sunday, December 15, the San Francisco Fire Department battled two fires, one at a warehouse at Mariposa and Minnesota Streets, the other at Hunter’s Point Shipyard facility.

The blaze at Mariposa and Minnesota Streets was reported at 5:41 a.m. where crews arrived to a two-story commercial warehouse. Firefighters had to battle with a Children’s Hospital across the street and heavy active fire inside the warehouse. San Francisco firefighters aggressively battled the blaze to contain it.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of that fire is under investigation. The blaze at Hunter’s Point was reported at 8:30 a.m. The fire was held to a wooden out building and firefighter kept it from spreading to the vacant warehouse. Details on the cause of that fire has not been disclosed to the public.
