HOLLYWOOD—Now this is the “General Hospital” that I am a fan of. One that ushers in a mystery that has the viewer saying, “How in the hell is that possible?” I’m referring to not one, but two big returns, one being bigger than you can imagine. I am referring to the return of Ryan Paevey, who portrayed Detective Nathan West.

Yes, the romance between Nathan and Maxie was one that blossomed and when he was fatally shot by his own father, Cesar Faison, and died right after Maxie gave birth to their son, James, it was heartbreaking to watch. So, the question everyone wanted to know was whether, Paevey was playing Nathan or not, and on Monday of this week, we got that answer, his fingerprints are a match for Nathan West.

So, wait, first Britt Westbourne returns from the dead after dying in her mother, Liesl Obrecht’s arms, then learning she sorta of faked her death and has been overseas getting treatment, but the question that remains is: why? She is connected to some sort of research that has been taking place, and it has ties to Professor Dalton who is Emma’s professor in Port Charles who just happens to be Anna Devane’s granddaughter.

Do you see where I am going with this? This has Cesar Faison written all over it, and the fact that Anna recently dropped that name is no surprise. I have a feeling that “GH” is planning to bring back the villain of all villains with Faison returning to wreak havoc on Anna’s life and the people closest to her. The soap opera has not had a stellar villain in years, and his return is so welcome in my opinion.

They are trying with Drew Quartermaine, who is more wicked than evil to me. They hoped Jenz Sidwell would do the trick, but he’s bland, he’s not intriguing at all, and I could care less about his rivalry with Sonny Corinthos. It feels like Britt is not surprised that her brother is very much alive and back in PC. That makes me wonder, if Britt and Nathan are back, does that mean, Peter August is back as well? I mean we saw his body disposed of, but he was one hell of a villain, so could you imagine Peter seeking vengeance from those who did him wrong, with his vicious father, Cesar guiding him along in the process?

Man, that would be must-see TV. I mean this is not impossible because Cesar held Duke Lavery captive for years, and that had people’s jaw-dropping with that reveal so I can see him being the big mastermind, but if not him, who could it be? I mean we’re about to see the lives of Maxie, Spinelli, James, Nina, Liesl, Britt, Felicia, Mac and Dante turned upside down. Britt is already at war with her mother, and now Lulu as it pertains to Rocco. Yeah, Britt did birth Rocco, so whether Dante or Lulu want to admit that its true.

I’m suspecting the big answers are not going to be revealed regarding the mastermind until we enter November Sweeps, we do know it’s a guy, per Britt’s words herself. This also makes me wonder how Valentin’s certain return plays into things. Could he be aware of Faison’s survival despite everyone including Jason Morgan thinking he was very much dead?

I think the thing I’m most excited to see is the reunion between Maxie and Nathan, but with Kirsten Storms on leave from the show, when and how will she return since she was poisoned, and WHO committed that deed?

“General Hospital” has me invested because they have posed so many questions, and I want the answers to them now, not later, but hopefully my patience pays off people.
