SAN FRANCISCO—On Monday, April 1, the SFPD disclosed that two juveniles were arrested in connection to a fatal shooting in the Tenderloin District that occurred on March 28.

The SFPD reported that on Thursday, March 28, at approximately 9:29 p.m., officers from Tenderloin Station responded to Hallidie Plaza regarding a report of a shooting that transpired. Officers arrived on scene and located a 17-year-old male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Officers provided aid and paramedics arrived on scene to perform lifesaving measures, where the victim was later declared deceased on the scene.

The SFPD Homicide Detail took lead of the investigation and two juveniles were identified as suspects in the incident. Investigators developed probable cause to obtain a search warrant. On March 29, at approximately 6:28 p.m. investigators served the search warrant on the unit block of Turk Street in San Francisco and placed the 16-year-old male suspect into custody.

An additional 16-year-old male was also taken into custody for his involvement in the incident. Both juveniles were booked at the Juvenile Justice Center.
