SAN FRANCISCO—A man was stabbed during a fight in the Tenderloin District on Saturday, April 14. The San Francisco Police Department reported that the victim was stabbed while he was trying to break up a fight between others. He was transported to a local hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries, where he is now recovering.

The incident occurred on the 200 block of Golden Gate Avenue around 9:00 p.m. The 46-year-old victim attempted to stop another altercation, when he was struck with a stick. Authorities have not yet determined a motive for what led to the fight. There were no reports of any other injuries during the incident.

The alleged assailant was arrested by police, but his identity is being withheld as police continue to investigate the case. been withheld from the press at this time. Authorities have revealed the assailant to be a 66 year-old man. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the SFPD.
