SAN FRANCISCO—On Sunday evening at around 8:10 p.m. of July 13, 2025, a fire broke out in a five-story apartment building called Fellowship Manor. The address of this apartment complex is 1201 Golden Gate Avenue. It is situated on Golden Gate Avenue near Webster Street. The tenants are mainly older adults.

The fire was isolated to be situated on the second floor of one individual apartment unit. The tenants were temporarily compelled to evacuate by the firefighters until the fire was put out. After tenants had evacuated, one tenant told firefighters of the San Francisco Fire Department that someone was still on the second floor of the burning building, and not everyone had gotten out safely. That was when the firefighters took it upon themselves to save this unidentified man from the fire.

It took four firefighters to carry this individual to safety before paramedics took him to the burn center of a local San Francisco hospital, according to the San Francisco Fire Department Captain Jonathan Baxter.

Due to how serious his injuries are, he was sent directly to the burn center at an undisclosed hospital.

So far, no further details have come to light about how serious the injuries of the man are. The fire is under investigation as to how it was started.

After the fire was put out at nine o’clock that same evening, the rest of the tenants of the apartment complex were allowed to return to their individual apartment units, though the man’s apartment is in disuse, rendering him homeless.
