SAN FRANCISCO—Officers with the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) arrested a man on Monday, October 7, suspected of killing a man three months ago.

Homicide Investigators with SFPD arrested Leonard Colven, 41, for the murder of 39-year-old Emmett Byron on July 20 in the 200 block of Turk Street near Leavenworth, according to a press release from the SFPD website. Byron was transported to San Francisco General Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on August 19.

Colven has been charged with one count of murder and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to reports.

The homicide investigation is still ongoing and police have not released a booking photo of the suspect to the public.
