SAN FRANCISCO—What with summer ending, and the new 2025-2026 new fall school semester and work season coming, there will be new changes ahead to the Muni services.
These changes came about after listening to passengers’ and bus drivers’ feedback on the way previous changes affected the bus system. These changes are cost neutral, meaning it will cost nothing for the passengers for weekend services, the changes will start Saturday, August 30, 2025 and as for the weekend, they will begin Tuesday, September 2, 2025 after Labor Day.
– 1x California Express: For the morning peak periods, 7:15-8:30, it will add back on Geary Boulevard and 33rd Avenue, starting Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
– 30x Marina Express: Starting Tuesday, September 2, 2025, 30x will leave Beach Street & Divisadero Street during morning commute, starting at 7:15. Scott Street and North Point Street stop will no longer be there; instead, people can use the nearby stop at Divisadero Street and North Point Street.
Beach Street and Divisadero Street and North Point Street will move to the other side of the street on Divisadero Street. There is to be a new stop at Jefferson Street at Divisadero Street.
– Inbound 49 Van Ness/Mission: Starting Tuesday, September 2, 2025, during its peak morning hours, of 7:30 to 8:15 am, Muni hours have increased their frequency.
– 8 Bayshore and 29 Sunset have evening peak hours.
– 6 Hayes-Parnassus: new stop at Masonic Avenue and Oak Street both ways.
– 56 Rutland: new move at Executive Park and Alana Way from Executive Park office building.
