HOLLYWOOD—When we last left our liars, Hanna (Ashley Benson) was in a bad spot with the liars for spilling the beans about their trip to New York to Sydney(Chloe Bridges). The ladies really laid into Hanna in episode eight, “Scream For Me” as more pieces to the puzzle began to fall into place.

From a distance, the ladies watched Alison (Sasha Pieterse) be questioned by Lt. Tanner, as she dug for information about Shana’s death, which caused Ali to panic, and she showed the ladies a note left to her by “A” stating, “Glad to hear you singing last time you were all choked up.”

Emily (Shay Mitchell) let Spencer (Troian Bellisario) in on Mona’s (Janel Parrish) growing army. It was apparent that the ladies see that Hanna is spiraling downward.  Wow, it appears that Mrs. Montgomery (Holly Marie Combs) is back in the mix, after being MIA for what seems like weeks. It was apparent mamaMontgomeryis aware something is up with her daughter. Emily probedSydneyabout her possible involvement in speaking with Hanna, which was apparent thatSydneywas trying to divert Emily from seeking the truth.

Ali did her best to rebuild her bond with Hanna, in the midst of their little tiff, which prompted the liar to ask her BFF if she could crash at her home. Spencer informed Toby (Keegan Allen) about the pictures that Bethany drew from inside Radley. It unfortunately, left a bad taste with Toby. He informed his flame that he enrolled into the police academy to dig for further details. Smart idea I must say, on Toby’s part. Aria was stunned to discover that Eddie Lamb is no longer working at Radley, and was caught by Rhonda when she tried to return her scrap book, who wanted a favor. Rhonda started to divulge details about Bethany receiving tons of gifts from Mrs. DiLaurentis, including a horse.

Mrs. Marin (Laura Leighton) was thrown by her daughter’s insincerity to Alison’s plight, just as she and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) bonded with alcohol. Sydney continued to do her best to try to bond with Emily, who caught her new BFF in a lie. Zack did his best to console Hanna, but it became apparent that he was actually hitting on Aria’s friend. This is crazy, why are so many guys in Rosewood chasing after girls too young for them.

Spencer and Emily were none too happy to see a tore down Hanna, who divulged that Zach was hitting on her. The ladies didn’t fully buy the story. Ali still traumatized by the events that have transpired was frozen to go to school. Emily and Spencer showed up at the stables to obtain information about Mrs. D and Bethany, but were at a standstill with Declan.  Hanna had another run-in with Zack where he attempted to make moves on Aria’s friend.

A mystery guest broke in the Marin residence causing a tense moment for both Ali and Hanna’s mother, as they grabbed a large butcher knife, before exiting the home. Finally, Ashley laid into Lt. Tanner about her lack of sympathy. A fragile Hanna informed Aria that Zack hit on her, but instead of sympathy, Aria lashed out with some evil words. Aria can be such a b***h at times, when she is angry.

Spencer was stunned to find Melissa’s hat at the horse carriage, but the ladies were in big trouble after “A” locked them in the stable with a very agitated horse out for blood, which left Spencer with a black eye. This left Toby helpless; making his decision to join the force clearer. Aria spied on the interaction between Zack and her mother to see if Hanna’s suspicions were accurate.

Spencer and Emily were stunned to discover that Ali used Noel as an intruder at Hanna’s home to dissuade people from continuing to question her story. Okay, now I’m starting to wonder if Noel portrayed the role of “A” on more than one potential occasion and if so, just what does Ali have on him? The final moments of the episode saw “A” inside Spencer’s bedroom admiring pictures of Spencer, Alison and Melissa. They then retrieved something that was hidden in a sofa.

Those pictures are a major sign. I’m starting to suspect a parent is at the forefront of all this chaos in Rosewood. Exactly what was “A” looking for? Gosh the mystery continues to grow. Can’t wait till next week’s episode “PLL” fanatics!
