SAN FRANCISCO—San Francisco’s Recreation and Park Department has offered free admission to seven of the city’s public pools on Tuesday, September 24, and Wednesday, September 25.
The city pools offering free admission during the heatwave are Balboa Pool, Coffman Pool, Hamilton Pool, MLK Pool, Mission Pool, North Beach Pool, and Sava Pool.
Regularly scheduled lap swims and lessons will proceed during the free admission days and a single lane will be open during specific times for those looking to cool down. The pools will also be offering free family and recreational swimming during certain hours.
The schedule for Wednesday, September 25, is as follows:
Balboa Pool
10 a.m. – 11a.m.: One lane available for FREE heat relief
12 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.: One lane available for FREE heat relief
3 p.m. – 4 p.m.: FREE Recreation Swim
4:30 p.m. -6 p.m.: – Small pool available for FREE heat relief
Coffman Pool
10 a.m. – 1 p.m.: One lane available for FREE heat relief
2:45 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.: FREE Recreation Swim
6 p.m. – 7 p.m.: One lane available for FREE heat relief
Hamilton Pool
10 a.m. – 1 p.m.: One lane/ small pool available for FREE heat relief
2 p.m. – 3 p.m.: FREE Recreation Swim
MLK Pool
10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: One lane available for FREE heat relief
3 p.m. – 4 p.m.: FREE Recreation Swim
6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.: One lane available for FREE heat relief
Mission Pool
10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.: One lane available for FREE heat relief
