HOLLYWOOD—If someone truly asked me to describe season four of “Revenge” I would call it the most mind-bending season to date. Episode seven of the season “Ambush,” continued to examine just precisely where David Clarke’s allegiance lies? The episode opened in grand fashion utilizing a flash-forward/rewind method. Victoria was seen falling to the ground after being struck by electricity; go back 20 hours earlier where we see Emily sneaking into her old home to retrieve something.

Emily’s movements awoke Victoria who went investigating. Emily and Nolan began to suspect that perhaps David was indeed responsible for the murder of Conrad Grayson. Daniel was left reeling from the news that his ex-wife wasn’t truly who she claimed to be. Jack alerted Emily about the infinity symbol he found, just as David decided to confront his ‘son-in-law’ about Amanda Clarke’s so called friends.

Daniel seemed to be wising up to all the craziness surrounding him by revealing that he knows the truth about Emily, and he tried to talk some sense into her before it was too late. Finally, father and daughter came face-to-face, but Mr. Clarke was still unable to pinpoint the person he was looking at was his daughter.

The mind games continued as Emily informed David that Victoria was responsible for pushing Amanda at her baby shower, which led to David confronting Victoria. Marguax continued to bond with Louise who had no idea that her new BFF was a bit off. Louise decided to honor her ‘mother’ by taking out Marguax who was nearly steamed to death. The publisher put up a tough fight and shattered the glass, leading to her escape.

Nolan, the wise cracker he is, let Marguax have a taste of her own medicine by letting her know that karma has a weird way of showing up when you least expect it. Daniel did his best to try to blackmail Emily, but she let her former hubby know, she was in no mood to play games with him. Ben and Jack located Vince’s dead body, which only further unnerved Jack that Emily is involved in another murder mystery that he won’t be able to cover-up.

Emily tracked that key to a safe deposit box where she found loads of cash and a flash drive that she took for the keeping. It was on that flash drive she learned her father had been around for much longer than he claimed; tracking Amanda Clarke’s every move. Nolan should be careful who he converses with as it appears Louise has bad things up her sleeve for Victoria and anyone who might be connected to her.

A storm blew into The Hamptons that left everyone on edge, Nolan unable to deal with not being at peace in light of recent events made a property investment. Marguax finally put two-and-two together and realized that her relationship was not as strong as she suspected when it came to light that he slept with Louise.

As the episode reached its final moments, David returned home confessing to Victoria that he appreciates all that she has done for her daughter. Victoria used that jewelry she hid in one of her possessions to juice up David’s memory and it worked.

Too bad she didn’t expect Emily to come barging in to showcase to David she was aware he was around the entire time, and he did nothing to try to reach her. After getting a tight grip on Emily’s arm he noticed the infinity symbol; he was looking at his daughter. It may not have been the reunion audiences had expected, but I must say the dramatic effect worked in my opinion. The reunion unfortunately was short lived when Victoria took a wicked volt of electricity from the storm knocking her unconscious.

Could David and Emily be suspects in the death of Victoria Grayson? Now that the cat is out of the bag, it’s just a matter of time before everyone realizes who Emily Clarke truly is? Until next Sunday “Revenge” lovers!
