SAN FRANCISCO—Known to have many prior convictions of thievery, thirty-eight-year-old San Franciscan Lashay Dodds, rented an U-Haul through fraudulently means. She used a fake Nevada ID and credit card. But U-Haul had no records of her renting a van from them, but they did report a stolen van to Dublin Police Department. Officers from the Livermore Police Department later found out the U-Haul that they found Dodds together with the stolen merchandise was stolen. She reportedly took the stolen merchandise items to the stolen U-Haul after shoplifting them from retailers at Livermore Outlets.
On Monday, August 4, 2025, at around eleven o’clock in the morning at Livermore Outlets or commonly known as San Francisco Premium Outlets, local police officers from the Livermore Police Department received a call about a kleptomaniac, taking bags filled with brand names clothes and shoes like Nike, Timberland, Adidas, Marshalls, Bath & Body Works and UGG retailers. She just shoplifted from Children’s Place when police officers from the Livermore Police Department were alerted. Within the stolen van were stolen merchandise filled with over twenty-five boxes of clothes and shoes from many different apparel stores, which was later recovered by the officers of Livermore Police Department.
Dodds was then apprehended and she was booked at Alameda County Santa Rita Jail. She was charged with grand theft, stolen vehicle possession, identity theft, robbery, petty theft and petty theft with prior convictions.
